Tommy Tuberville wants to give $1.8 billion to the January 6th rioters
Folks,
January 6th was one of the darkest days in our nation’s history. A mob armed with stun guns, bats, and pepper spray stormed the United States Capitol and tried to overthrow our government. They shattered windows, broke through barricades, and called for Mike Pence to be hanged.
January 6th was also Tommy Tuberville’s third day in office. As rioters stormed the Capitol and headed for the Senate floor, he ran for cover, secluding with other senators in a safe room until the rioters retreated and the all-clear was given. Now, you’d think that would have given him some appreciation for what happened. Instead, he still voted to deny the certification of the election and has spent years making excuses for the people who rioted. He’s called January 6th a “peaceful protest” and a “hoax.”
Now, that’s bad enough. But right now, he’s backing a $1.8 billion fund that could pay January 6th rioters for their destruction. Attempting to overthrow our government is a crime, and the U.S. Department of Justice rightfully prosecuted these rioters. Each one was provided a lawyer and given full due process. Now Tommy Tuberville calls them “patriots” and wants to pay them for trying to overthrow our government. And he wants to pay them with taxpayer money - your money!
Crime shouldn’t pay. The January 6th rioters should be in jail, not cashing checks signed by Tommy Tuberville.
Imagine what that $1.8 billion could actually do in our state if we elect a governor who actually cares more about the people of Alabama than insurrectionists. We could expand Medicaid and save our rural hospitals. We could fix our roads and make sure our grocery stores don’t go out of business. We could give our public school teachers a raise.
Tommy Tuberville doesn’t care about any of that. He thinks our money is better spent lining the pockets of people who tried to overthrow our government.

Tommy Tuberville is an idiot. So are we going to give money to everyone in jails and prisons everywhere? Guess pedophiles will be first on the list? Since there are so many in the administration and/or sexual assaulters? Sickening. The people who have sacrificed their lives for this nation must be rolling over in their graves. Unbelievable.
Tooberville makes me want to puke. Hiding like a scared rabbit, then when he's out of the war zone, he acts all 'big and buff' like one of the ball players he used to coach. He can't be trusted with a marshmallow.
